Truth Universally Acknowledged

The title of this blog is an obvious reference to my favourite author, Jane Austen. My other great inspiration is Ella Fitzgerald. I intend this site to be general musings about things which interest me, and hopefully you as well.

Name:
Location: Auckland, New Zealand

I'm a girl in her twenties living in New Zealand - of Irish and Scottish descent. I'm married to a wonderful guy and we live in a tiny house in the suburbs with a menagerie of soft toys and model aircraft. My main occupations at the moment are attempting to become and author and surviving my day job... wish me luck!

'Piano Man' discharged

The so-called "Piano Man" has been discharged from the care of a National Health Service Trust.

British social workers spent months trying to help the man, who had been silent since being found wandering near a Kent beach in April wearing a dripping wet suit and tie.

The Daily Mirror reported yesterday that the man finally broke his silence last week, and revealed he was from Germany but had travelled to Britain after losing a job in Paris.

No further details were released due to confidentiality laws.

Hi Carlotta,
I read his parents didn't watch the news and so they didn't know it was him the whole time.
I've visited your blog for the first time today and really enjoyed it - it's interesting and at times funny too. I'm a Kiwi myself and will be dropping in again.

I heard it was some kind of scam. The guy was trying to see if he could get away with feigning mental illness. (Always a sure sign of mental illness, if you ask me)
